Notre Maison de Champagne
FREEDOM AS A DRIVER OF PROGRESS, THE RESULT OF FAMILY INDEPENDENCE SINCE 1776
The freedom of an independent business that never cedes to the short-term pressure of quarterly financial reporting to markets, banks and investment funds.
A capacity for boldness, innovation and risk-taking: since 2000, we have been working to completely do away with herbicides and adopt biodynamic practices in our most important vineyard: Cristal.
A commitment to the long term and sustainability, to the passing down of a legacy from generation to generation, and to the building of ever greater quality over the years.
IMMERSION IN NATURE
Since the time of Louis Roederer(1833-1870), who made the visionary decision, contrasting sharply with the practices of the time, to own his vines and therefore to understand them and develop mastery of all the growing techniques associated with them.
Strong roots in the region, a treasure patiently built up over time in the finest Champagne terroirs, in the Grands Crus and Premiers Crus, representing 250 hectares and 420 plots today and providing 2/3 of Roederer's grape requirements and 100% for all Louis Roederer vintages, including Cristal.
Each location has its own wine: 420 vineyard plots that allow us to chart the lifeline of each of our wines from vine to grape, then from grape to vin clair(still wine), and finally from vin clair to Champagne.

OUR BRAND PROMISE
OUR WINES; CO-CREATION OF MAN AND NATURE
Co-creation: two creators are at work, together.
Not Nature on its own, whose miracle we are happy to receive.
Not Man on his own, the sculptor who transforms the raw material into a work of art.
This co-creation shared by Nature and Man, is an aspiration towards a master work so devoutly sought, it is what makes Louis Roederer unique.
HAND IN HAND WITH NATURE
Two creators working closely together. This is what the words “hand in hand” express. In the vineyards, being close to Nature means knowing how to observe and study the vines in order to understand them, become intimate with them and capture their slightest pulsations.
This work, so passionately sought-after, this co-creation between Man and Nature, is what makes the singularity of the Louis Roederer Champagne House.
